Our 5 Year Anniversary Celebration

Thank you to each and every single one of you for sharing this journey with us over the past 5 yeras. We are here for a brief moment to reflect on the celebration the Our DJ Rocks 5 Year Anniversary. It has been quiet a journey since 2010 (and even since 2005 when I picked up the microphone for the first time) and with a big heart, I gratefully say these simple but big words, Thank You!

I once asked the question “can chicks DJs,?” and a good friend of mine responded with “Who You? Absolutely!” In that brief conversation, the door of opportunity opened that lead me to find my passion and purpose in life.

There are many times, that I’ve wanted to throw in the towel…. quite a few times… I’m sure we’ve all felt that way at some point in time. But the team I have beside me have shown an unshakeable commitment and an unbreakable bond. We were meant to celebrate love and milestones through music and that has always guided us.

Speaking of which…. to my team….You both inspire me daily to visualize the path to something larger than what stands before us today. Together, we work the trenches, you see me at my worst and you still stand by my side when we’re at our best. Your unshakeable commitment and unbreakable bond is going to continue to help us blaze a trail! Get ready for the ride!

And last, to the most noteworthy, my husband Mark. I will never forget how nervous I was that night in our apartment in 2010 when I hesitantly asked him if I could quit my corporate, salary with benefits career to start this pipedream. With no hesitation at all, I’m not even sure I got my sentence out, you said “SURE! Let’s go.” And through every decision we’ve had to make along the way, he has always been the solid rock and support and the one to move mountains when there was to path to get through.

I simply cannot wait for the next 5 years (…and beyond) to unveil itself to you.

My team and I have created a manifesto to mark this journey and motivate us to blaze the trail that we are about to embark on.

There have been many people who have encouraged, inspired, mentored and taught me and my team along this journey. Three weeks ago, I hosted an intimate dinner celebration to cheers to the handful of people who have supported us over the past 5 years.
