‘Tis the Season – Team Building, Dinner & Awards

An Our DJ Rocks & Photobooth Rocks Christmas

We live for unplanned moments. We also love creating them. This past week, we celebrated our team and our 2015 with a champagne toast kickoff,  team building cooking class, dinner in the wine cellar and smores by the fire at Bella Collina. This was a time for us to pop champagne on this past year and celebrate was is to come. I am so grateful for the talented Gian Carlo with Gian Carlo Photography for capturing these moments for us.

After the champagne toast, we put on our aprons and went right into food prep! This was probably one of o my favorites parts about the evening. I was so excited to see how many laughs came from snapping green beans and “whippin” mashed potatoes!

Once we had the food prepped, to the kitchen it went so the Chef could cook it for dinner. But of course, we had to lick the spoons first! Caught you red handed, Lindsey and Ryan!!

And now we patiently wait for dinner to be ready.

Team Voted Superlative Awards

While we enjoyed the dinner we prepped, we voted on each other for the superlative awards. These were voted on by their peers.

1. Best Photobooth Trainer – Congrats Gaby!
2. Most likely to be caught dancing by the photo booth – Congrats Lici!
3. Most likely to have the biggest stash of photo booth strips – Congrats Ryan!
4. Most likely to become a DJ – Congrats Samantha! #YourNext
5. Most likely to lend a helping hand – Congrats Ciara Scholz!

I also had a few awards that have been traditions for the last 3 years that we give out. This year these team members earned these awards.
1. Brand on Fleek Award – Congrats Linercy!
2. Brand on Fleek Award – Congrats Cierra Adams!
3. Elbow Grease Award – Congrats Bruce!
Recognized as the team member who is always dependable and willing to get down and dirty to help make events happen!
4. Bee’s Knees of Honey Award – Congrats to my husband Mark!
Recognized as the team member who can turn on the charm anytime it’s needed!
5. Little Miss Sunshine Award – Congrats Ciara Scholz!
6. Tik Tok on the Clock – Congrats Lici!
Recognized as the team member who demonstrates the most accountability and punctuality. She is 150% committed to making moments and exhibits unshakable commitment and an unbreakable bond.
6. Social Butterfly – Congrats Shay!
Recognized as the team member who is the first to be social with the photo booth and always interacting with guests. This person always exhibits the 10-foot rule and is welcoming and inviting not only to our guests but vendors we work with.
7. Mountain Mover – Congrats Samantha!
Recognized as the team member who always does whatever it takes to make it happen even if it means moving a mountain.

Dessert was next and so was something a little extra sweet. 3 Additional Awards.

Sparkle + Shine Award

Recognized as the outstanding team member who lives and breathes our brand. This person exudes our core values (Reliability and Commitment, Achievement, Teamwork + Loyalty). Most importantly understands we are creative, we have dreams, we use our imaginations, we play together and we grow together. She understands that we hold high standards and we blow our goals out of the water. She is in fearless pursuit of what sets her heart on fire. She is always looking for new ways to help us grow and sparkle while we do it.

Girl on Fire Award

This award goes to the visionary. She is innovative, she releases mediocrity, she shatters her limits, transcends her fears. She is inspired. She is in fearless pursuit of what sets her heart on fire. This girl is on fire.

This person believes in unshakable commitment and an unbreakable bond. This person is sometimes the engine that keeps us running when the fuel runs out. This person is in fearless pursuit of what sets her heart on fire. This person shows gratitude, is strong, shows courage and kindness. She is humble and she exudes passion. She is out outstanding team member of the year.

And then came the most heartfelt surprise of the night. Tabitha and Gaby got up and announced that they to had an award to give out. This awards was named…pardon my french…. the “Boss ass bitch” award. Which they gave to me. I wonder if this award can be the newest tradition for us.

Maybe it was the thought, maybe it was because they did it together or maybe it was the description that they wrote:

Ladies and Gents – you inspire me every single day to be the best boss lady ever. You give me the energy and strength to want it even more. It is the best feeling in the world so be surrounded by such motivating and empowering people. And at the end of the day, knowing that together we are making such a huge memory in the milestones of our clients and couples. This is an amazing journey we share together.
