Katie and Bobby’s Winter Park Event Center Wedding: A GLAM Mid-Century Modern Affair
As a wedding DJ, every couple’s big day is special and unique. And, let me tell you, Katie and Bobby’s wedding was no exception. Held at the Winter Park Event Center in Winter Park, Florida, this GLAM mid-century modern affair was one for the books. From the custom photo booth to the throwback sing-alongs, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to make their day unforgettable.
As the happy couple entered the reception, they were introduced to the tune of “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” by Harry Styles. They then took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife to the sweet sounds of John Legend’s “Stay With You.” From there, we moved on to the reception, which was filled with mid-century modern vibes and contemporary hits.
The music was carefully curated to match the vibe, with songs from Dean Martin to Michael Bublé. During dinner, we turned up the sing-along factor with throwback songs from Taylor Swift and NSYNC. But, it was once the party started that things really got going. Here is a link to some of their dinner music to give you an idea of their vibe.
Katie and Bobby’s must-dance-to songs included a mix of old favorites and contemporary hits. They requested classic sing-alongs like “Friends In Low Places” by Garth Brooks and “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls, as well as newer hits like “Bad Blood” by Taylor Swift and “Mirrors” by Justin Timberlake. And, of course, we couldn’t forget the wild card requests like “MMMBop” by Hanson and “Back That Thang Up” by Juvenile Feat. Mannie Fresh & Lil’ Wayne.
But, it was the high-energy hits like “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC, “Love On Top” by Beyoncé, and “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers that really got the crowd going. And, let’s not forget “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins and “Raise Up” by Petey Pablo, which were guaranteed to make Bobby’s shirt come off.
Overall, it was an incredible day filled with love, laughter, and dancing. And, as a female DJ company, we were honored to be a part of it. To relive some of the magic, we’ve put together a Spotify playlist featuring some of the songs that got the party started. From throwback sing-alongs to high-energy hits, this playlist has it all.
Congratulations again to Katie and Bobby, and thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!
