Meet a DJ Who Rocks…Jennie!

When people ask “what do you do?”, how do you answer?
“I’m a wedding DJ!”…..to which they normally say, “Oh wow, so cool! A female DJ?!”

What did you do before you did this?
I was a wedding photographer!

When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
I went to school for Photography. I started shooting weddings when I was 19 years old for friends and family. I fell in love with weddings!!!! I knew that my career had to be in making this day memorable for my clients.

How did your work evolve to get you to where you are today?
Well being in the wedding industry, I met Kristin through another vendor and quickly realized that she was as passionate about weddings as I was! Music is such a huge part of my life and I love it as much as I do weddings, so when I saw she was looking for DJs, I jumped on board!!! ✨

What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?
My favorite thing is that I get to do what I love. I help to make memories for one of the most special days in someone’s life.

Tell us about your most memorable event so far.
There are soooo many to choose from, but I would have to say I’ll never forget being able to DJ the first wedding at The Howey Mansion!

What motivates you to do this everyday?
Aside from doing this, because I have 3 beautiful kids at home, it helps when you really love what you do.

What fun fact would people be surprised to learn about you?
I sing. A lot. Let’s go to Karaoke!!

What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
“OMG I love you!”

What are the most common questions you get asked by brides and/or grooms?
“Do I really have to pick a cake cutting song? People do that???”

Best piece of advice for brides or grooms?
Choose vendors that you fall in love with and understand your vision for your big day….. then…..Enjoy your day! Take a breath and relax and let them handle it all.
