Victoria 1883 Wedding: A New Smyrna Beach Venue Feature

Some venues ask you to adapt to them. Victoria 1883 meets you where you are. On November 1, 2025, Kenzie and Andrew said their vows under a live oak, then spent the rest of the night on a black and white checkerboard dance floor under a clear tent. As their New Smyrna Beach wedding DJ team, we got a front row seat, and we left wanting to tell every couple in Central Florida about this place.
A historic house with room to breathe
Victoria 1883 Historic B&B is a white two-story house with a long front porch, tucked behind old oaks in a residential neighborhood in New Smyrna Beach. The grounds do the heavy lifting. There is a lawn for the ceremony, a vine-covered archway, a paver patio, and enough space to put the reception under its own tent instead of squeezing it into a room.
The house works for the getting-ready hours too. The groom had a quiet, dark paneled sitting room. The bride had the porch and a drink in hand. Starting the day in two calm spaces sets a tone you can feel all night.

Because the venue sits in a residential neighborhood, sound levels matter, and the Victoria 1883 team is thoughtful about it. We plan the music for the night with that in mind from the very first conversation. It is one of the reasons we enjoy working here.
Ready To Rock Your Event?
An unplugged ceremony under the oak
Guests settled into white folding chairs set in two sections on the lawn, with a white umbrella marking the center of the aisle. Soft instrumentals played before the ceremony, our team mic’d officiant Olivia Littleton, and the officiant opened with an unplugged announcement so guests could simply be present.
The music told the story in layers. The parents walked to “You Are The Best Thing” by Midnite String Quartet. Andrew walked to “You Are The Reason” by Calum Scott. Kenzie and her father came down the aisle to a string version of “Iris,” and the couple left as newlyweds to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”

Cocktails, then a first look at the tent
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour to a playlist the couple provided, the reception space waited just steps away. At 5:20 the couple got a first look at the room, and at 5:30 the reception began. The clear-top tent from Rentaland, wrapped in greenery and string lights, let the sky do the decorating by day and the stars take over by night.

The tables stayed simple and sharp: white linens, black Chiavari chairs, black napkins and tall crystal candle holders. That palette was a natural partner for the checkerboard dance floor.

There was no grand entrance. Instead, the parents were recognized from their seats, which kept the room relaxed and the focus on the people. Dinner was buffet stations from Ravish Catering, followed by a champagne toast with our own DJ Staz on the mic and a private cake cutting.

A dance floor that filled up fast
The family dances set the heart of the night. Kenzie and Andrew danced to “Ordinary” by Alex Warren. Kenzie and her dad shared “Landslide,” and Andrew and his mom danced to “Thought You Should Know.” Later, Kenzie’s parents had a dance of their own to “Here and Now” by Luther Vandross, and then everyone joined in for the open dance floor.

Kenzie and Andrew had a must-dance list that jumped from “Suavemente” to “Pink Pony Club” to “Kiss Me,” and genres that ran from 2000s and pop to country, classic rock, alternative and Latin. That kind of range is what keeps a floor full. The groomsmen formed a circle, Kenzie danced with a champagne glass in hand, and guests of every age found a spot on the checkerboard.

The night closed the way it should. Last call at the bar, a last dance with guests to “Mr. Brightside,” a last private dance for the couple to “Fade Into You,” and a grand exit through a tunnel of guests waving ribbon wands.

What couples can take from this night
Victoria 1883 gives you separate spaces with a natural flow: lawn for the ceremony, tent for the reception, and a dance floor that has its own place to shine. If you are comparing venues, ask yourself where your guests will dance and how the music will move from ceremony to cocktails to the open floor. Our guides on wedding dance floor ideas and what a wedding DJ does can help you plan it, and if you are still searching, here is how to choose a wedding DJ.
