A Groovy Celebration: Gianna and Spencer Phillips’ Wedding At Sterling Event Venue
On March 9, 2024, Gianna and Spencer Phillips celebrated their love in a wedding that was as unique and vibrant as their story. The stunning Sterling Event Venue provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with personal touches, heartfelt moments, and unforgettable details.
The Ceremony
With pre-ceremony soft instrumentals setting a serene atmosphere, Gianna and Spencer’s unplugged ceremony was officiated by Stephanie Phillips, the groom’s sister.
The processional featured a beautiful mix of classic and modern songs, from “It’s Been a Long Long Time” by Harry James & His Orchestra to acoustic covers of “Across the Universe” and “One Love” by Guitar Tribute Players. Gianna’s entrance to “Lover (Violin Cover)” by Ana Done created a truly magical moment.
Ready To Rock Your Event?
The couple exchanged vows and rings, sealing their commitment with a kiss to the tune of “Someday” by The Strokes.
The Reception
The celebration continued with a lively cocktail hour, where guests enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres while signing a unique vinyl guest seating arrangement adorned with disco balls.
This playful and groovy setup perfectly reflected Gianna and Spencer’s love for all things retro. The couple rocked all white Vans and requested for DJ Staz to wear her Vans as well!
Unique Décor
One of the standout features of the wedding was the incredible décor, a beautifully combined blend of vintage and modern elements. The vinyl guest seating arrangement, complete with disco balls, created a fun and nostalgic vibe.
A cozy lounge area set up outdoors featured plush seating, vibrant floral arrangements, and even more disco balls hanging from a frame, adding a touch of sparkle to the celebration.
Dinner and Toasts
Dinner, served buffet-style by Cocktails Catering, was accompanied by a playlist of slow songs handpicked by the couple.
The photo booth was a hit, capturing fun memories for guests throughout the evening. Heartfelt toasts from Gianna’s Uncle Steve, Spencer’s Dad Steve, Maid of Honor Erika, and Best Man Charley added warmth and joy to the celebration. A lightning photo round set to “Saturday Night” by Elton John led into an open dance floor, where the real party began.
Dance Party and Special Moments
The dance floor was electric with energy as guests grooved to a mix of disco, 80s, 90s, club & dance, classic rock, and modern rock hits. Special moments included the cake cutting to “Cake By The Ocean” by DNCE, a bouquet toss to “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, and the last dance with guests to “All The Small Things” by Blink-182.
The night ended on a high note with a private dance for the newlyweds to “First Date (Acoustic)” by Taylor Acorn, followed by a grand sparkler exit.
Music Highlights
Gianna and Spencer’s wedding playlist was a highlight of the night, featuring must-dance-to hits like “Jamming” (FISHER REWORK), “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran, and “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. They also requested a unique last hour EDM/Emo Hour, ensuring the party ended with a bang.
